Daily Review #16

with one comment

Slept in until almost 5 this morning, felt like my day was half over. Hell, it was almost light outside. Have my head sufficiently buried in one project, wrapped around another, longing for a third (another idea of mine) and summoned to deal with skeletons of a almost forgotten fourth. Fun times.

Interesting tidbits from around the web

  • jQuery UI Tabs – A new project uses this, so I do too.
  • Google Wave Federation – This makes team based collaboration a lot more feasible. Give me a bot that includes a group of users on a wave, and a good strategy for Wave care and feeding and I’m mostly sold.
  • Tips for BoS 2009 – Jason Cohen has some useful tips to get the most out of the Business of Software 2009! conference. They’re good tips in general for meatspace interactions. I won’t make it and I don’t think they do Confreaks, but they should.
  • Drier gem configs – nice, though we’ve recently dropped source except when explicitly needing a github gem that hadn’t moved to gemcutter yet.
  • Rails Best Practices – Good set of slides, useful to keep reminding yourself of these things.
